About Pushkar Resorts

Since its inception in 1998, Pushkar Resorts maintains itself as the foremost luxury resort in Pushkar. Spread across 15 acres, the property was merely a stopover for the Kochhar family for their wilderness expeditions, which slowly developed into a resort with the likes of Kate Winslet and Harrison Ford visiting the property.

Starting out with ten cottages and a swimming pool, soon Pushkar Resorts organically grew into forty cottages which were divided into small clusters built around the undulating landscapes. What stood out and made the property radically different from the usual lakeside properties in the city was the lush green landscape and fruit orchards that the property is surrounded by.

In spite of having a secluded vibe, Pushkar Resorts is still close enough to the hustle-bustle of the Pushkar town as well as Ajmer city. Rajasthani pots, utensils, local dried flowers, leather work, stone work and traditional Rajasthani patchwork have been used for the interiors to recreate the local tones of the ancient city. Paintings by M. Sivanesan and SK Mani adorn the walls, enhancing the earthy ambience of Pushkar Resorts.With great emphasis on local influences, the raw materials have been sourced from the areas nearby to ensure that the local flavor is captured.

To elaborate, the stone products are from Kishangarh, while the Wadi bar, decorated with nagadas and saddles recreates the essence of Rajput grandeur of the neighboring erstwhile estates. Being one of the foremost resorts of Pushkar, Pushkar Resorts was soon established as a haven amidst nature, though with all the modern amenities required for a comfortable & memorable stay.

The resort's completion was speeded up at the behest of Kate Winslet as she stayed at this resort in 1998 with the film crew for Holy Smoke that was shot in Rajasthan. The all day restaurant and Wadi Bar are the perfect hangout spots during the daytime. Another feature at the property is the conference hall and wedding lawn which can be used for official or private gatherings. The Kaivalya Spa offers a range of massages, scrubs and wraps as well as a swimming pool which help refresh our guests during their stay at the property. Games such as sand volleyball, badminton, pool, table tennis, croquet & chipping-putting make for the ideal physical activities at the resort.We also provide camel kafila rides & jeep safaris, picnics in the fruit orchard and motorcycles rides. We recommend our guests to explore the property on a bicycle which are available on rent. Basic amenities such as laundry, internet, and concierge services can also be availed at the reception.
